On Earth Again

I was at work this morning when I thought to check out the one news site we do get to look at to see if space shuttle Endeavour had landed. I suppose that with the delays to the launch and remembering previous missions that had spent longer in space than they had intended to because of weather over Florida, I had imagined that there might be landing delays again, but instead I read that the touchdown had indeed happened; the apparent chips in the heat shield spotted during launch weren't serious. (That isn't the site we get to see at work, by the way.) A mission that was in space during the fortieth anniversary of the first manned moon mission (STS-93, delayed by a few days, launched just a few days after the thirtieth anniversary of the landing) is now complete.
