A Halloween Happenstance

When driving to work this morning (through the dark), I noticed that my car's odometer rolled through "131313" kilometres. That somehow seemed a very appropriate number for Halloween. Of course, I did start contemplating about how prone all of us seem to making a big deal out of what's really nothing more than coincidence, and forgetting all the times when things don't line up... Perhaps, too, I could mention that so far this evening has seemed strangely quiet to me. I was prepared to hand out lots of candy, but haven't even finished distributing the first box of fifty mini-chocolate bars.
