Dead Dead Demon's Eternal-Springing Hope

Noticing an item on the Anime News Network that there’s going to be an anime adaptation of Inio Asano’s manga Dead Dead Demon’s DeDeDeDe Destruction did get my attention; it was one more moment when “well, manga can go places anime can’t” seemed pushed back a little even in these later days. At the same time, I was aware I’d posted here just a few months ago about an uneasy reluctance about making “too big” a deal of mere announcements of impending anime. The hangover then from some anticipated titles that went awry does seem have faded, though, and the studio announced to do the adaptation has one recent example to its benefit so far as it struck me. The lightest ambiguous thought I can hit on right now is to wonder whether the anime might show up before the manga is translated and published in full over here (although I guess there’s a question as to how the manga will turn out in the end); I can also wonder what the shout translated in the manga as “hya hya foowah!” amounts to in Japanese.
