One More Landing
Mar. 28th, 2009 04:36 pmAfter being out walking around the neighbourhood, I started working on my computer a bit and then thought "Wait--I wonder if Discovery was able to try its second landing attempt." It turned out that it had indeed touched down just minutes before, which means that I missed my chance to watch it. Still, a successful landing seems the important thing, and to top it off its delivery leaves the space station not only evened out but looking more or less the way it's long been "supposed" to. (However, I can suppose that as far as "expectations" go, I had never quite expected the solar panels to be swivelled in subtly different directions...)
