I was following my RSS feed and the NASA site today to see if space shuttle Discovery was going to land, but as it turned out weather delayed it for (at least) another day in orbit. However, I was also checking on another space-related topic, and the second attempt to ignite the first lengthened solid rocket booster meant for the "Ares I" rocket design did seem to go off rather impressively. Of course, given the preliminary report of the panel investigating space plans that more money would be very useful, I don't really know what's going to happen to the design, but at least they didn't say that the design was inherently unworkable. I also managed to notice that, following the European cargo ship, a Japanese cargo ship has also been launched.
