Now that I think about it, there's a precedent in Raiders of the Lost Ark itself for a villain to appear in "both adventures" of an Indiana Jones movie. Even as I delve into the fragment at hand, though, I should probably keep reminding myself that, after watching the second trailer for The Phantom Menace, I was expecting the "space battle" to be in the middle of the movie (probably inspired by the "first draft" of Star Wars), and after the good guys lost it, they would only then go looking for the Gungans to enlist for the battle at the end of the movie...
I'd expect a Clone Wars trailer to be likeliest to show up with The Dark Knight, too... it's just that I consider myself much more likely to see Indiana Jones myself.
