Off to Jupiter

Keeping up with continued launches into space, I took note of the Juno probe blasting off for Jupiter, which lets me repurpose one of my icons back to what it really is. Since as not as many pictures came back from the Galileo probe as had been intended, I might have taken a slight extra interest in this mission, although I've managed to read that the camera on Juno is expected to burn out from the gas giant's radiation early on. I also took note of the solar panels being used for the first time beyond the asteroid belt, which give the probe a different sort of character than previous missions that way. Not quite as quick as some missions (featuring lighter spacecraft) but not following quite as convoluted a gravity-assist course as others, it's going to take several years to get there. I suppose I'll have to keep track of the trip out as I (sort of) kept track of the course up to launching.
