Shout! Factory is keeping up with its practice of announcing the titles of its next Mystery Science Theater 3000 collection right around the time that the current one comes out, and I managed to be surprised by my first sighting of the news. Nowadays, I suppose I don't just think about my own previous viewings of the episodes, but also about whether I've already posted comments about them... and where with the current set I had commented on one episode, with the sixteenth I've commented on three.

"The Corpse Vanishes" was actually an episode I had been contemplating taking another look at before too long to lead off viewing the fifth episode of each season, even though I can't remember a lot about it other than that the movie has Bela Lugosi in it and we'll get the third chapter of "Commando Cody and the Radar Men from the Moon" along with it. With "Warrior of the Lost World," though, we'll get "the Paper Chase guy," the supersonic speedcycle Einstein, Persis Khambatta with hair, "Jimmy Carter," Donald Pleasence reprising Ernst Stavro Blofeld save for the name, and (while I suppose I'm not quite as attached to this bit as some other people) Megaweapon. "Santa Claus" provides Mike's take on a Christmas episode on an official DVD to go along with Joel's at last, and "Night of the Blood Beast" is not only fun by itself but includes "Once Upon A Honeymoon." There's also the promise of a Tom Servo figure to go along with the Crow T. Robot bust in the "Twentieth Anniversary" can, although after one initial tentative try I haven't attempted to pull that figure out from its packing...
