I have to admit to feeling a little surprised whenever I see a "you've reported on a lot" comment what with dwelling so often on a seeming pickiness selecting brand-new series to watch, but in the past three months I was usually watching two half-hour episodes a day; while I wasn't adding in "domestic" television most of the time I understand now what some perspectives might make of it. (So far as "being picky" goes, I did see a weblog post not that long ago that could have some bearing on the subject.)

The "would I buy it?" test is simple and useful, and maybe I'm slightly more ready now to watch some series streaming and be content with that; I can recognize that with some shows just this season I might be caught up by mere whim. When Darling in the Franxx had started, I'd supposed that with A-1 Pictures coproducing with Trigger Aniplex would have its fingers in it and the eventual home video release would be so expensive it would be easy for me to shrug it off; understanding the show's been "simuldubbed" by Funimation has me uncertain, though.
